How to Create a linkedin company page: Setup Guide for 2026
Step 1: Access the Company Page creation tool
From your LinkedIn homepage, click the Work icon (grid of dots) in the top right navigation bar. Scroll to the bottom and click Create a Company Page. You will be taken to the page type selection screen.
Step 2: Choose your page type and enter basic info
Select Company (most businesses) or Showcase Page (for a sub-brand). Enter your company name exactly as it appears in your branding. Choose your LinkedIn public URL carefully – this cannot be changed later. Make it your company name or brand name without spaces (e.g., linkedin.com/company/yourcompanyname).
Step 3: Fill in your company details
Complete all required fields: Website URL, Industry (choose the most specific match), Company size, Company type (public, private, self-employed, etc.). The more complete your page, the better it ranks in linkedin search and appears more trustworthy to visitors.
Step 4: Upload your logo and cover image
Upload your company logo (300x300px minimum, PNG format preferred). Upload a cover banner image (1128x191px). Your cover image is prime real estate – include your value proposition, website URL, or a visual that communicates what your company does. Both images are required for a complete page.
Step 5: Write your company description
Write a 2,000-character company description optimized for both readers and LinkedIn search. Lead with what your company does and who it helps. Include key industry terms naturally. The first 156 characters appear in LinkedIn search results, so make the opening sentence count.
Step 6: Invite connections and add admins
Once your page is created, invite your 1st-degree linkedin connections to follow the page (you get 100 invite credits per month per admin). Go to Settings, add team members as admins with appropriate roles. Have all employees add your company to their LinkedIn work experience – this links their profiles to your page and builds social proof.
