DJI’s upcoming drone launch event on April 11th is generating excitement among drone enthusiasts, with leaks from reliable sources providing detailed information about the new Avata 2 drone, RC Motion 3 controller, and Goggles 3 headset. The Avata 2 drone features a refreshed design with a less prominent camera housing and three-bladed props, along with leaked specs indicating a 1/1.3-inch camera sensor, 155-degree viewing angle, and 4K video recording at 60fps. The drone is rumored to have a 23-minute battery life and a 40-minute charging time at 65W.

Leaked images from Roland Quandt also reveal details about the Goggles 3 headset, which features two cameras on the outside to allow users to observe their surroundings without removing the goggles. The headset is equipped with a micro-OLED high-definition display and ultra-low-latency transmission, offering a two-hour battery life similar to its predecessor. The leaked marketing materials suggest that the Goggles 3 will provide an immersive FPV experience for drone pilots.

In addition to the drone and headset, Quandt’s leak provides a glimpse of the RC Motion 3 controller, a new innovation from DJI that allows users to control the drone with a combination of hand movements and joystick input. The Motion 3 controller features a redesigned layout compared to its predecessor, with the joystick moved to the left side of the controller and the mode button placed in a more central location. The orange lock button is also larger in the new controller design.

Overall, the leaks suggest that DJI’s upcoming drone launch event will introduce significant improvements and innovations to the company’s product lineup. The Avata 2 drone, Goggles 3 headset, and RC Motion 3 controller offer enhanced features and capabilities for drone enthusiasts, promising an immersive and intuitive flying experience. With a focus on advanced technology and user-friendly design, DJI continues to set the standard for consumer drones in the industry.
