George Santos Brings Back Drag Persona ‘Kitara Ravache’ for Cameo Profits

Former Long Island GOP Rep. George Santos, known for his alter ego Kitara Ravache, has announced his return to the drag scene on the interactive platform Cameo. Santos made the announcement on social media, stating that he would be bringing back Kitara after 18 years, with a portion of the proceeds going to Tunnel to Towers and The Fellowship. This news comes after his successful debut on Cameo, where he garnered attention for his performances.

Kitara’s existence was first revealed in January 2023 by journalist Marisa Kabas on her Substack site, The Handbasket. Eula Rochard, a Brazilian drag queen and former friend of Santos, shared that she had known him since he was a teenager, but he was never a big player in the local drag scene. Initially, Santos denied these claims, but video footage surfaced of him in female attire at a Pride parade in Brazil in 2005.

Santos was later expelled from the House of Representatives and faced a federal indictment with 23 counts, alleging that he misused campaign funds and laundered money for personal use. Despite denying any wrongdoing and pleading not guilty, he dropped his bid for re-election in New York’s 1st Congressional District. Santos had gained popularity on Cameo, earning $500 per video message and even received attention for his trolling of indicted lawmaker Sen. Bob Menendez.

As Kitara Ravache, Santos has now made a comeback on Cameo, with a portion of the proceeds from his performances going to charitable organizations like Tunnel to Towers and The Fellowship. These organizations provide support to families of fallen service members and first responders. Santos continues to identify as a “culture commentator at large” and caused a stir by ranking gowns and outfits at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Despite the controversy surrounding his past actions and political career, Santos remains active in the entertainment industry.
