Ocean Outdoor and Battersea Power Station have announced the launch of an expanded digital out-of-home (DOOH) network in London, with launch partners including Under Armour, Pepsi, R.E.M. Beauty, Universal, and Mini. The network, called The Loop, offers interactive small-format screens alongside full motion screens, immersive experiential areas, and opportunities for bespoke murals and projections. This new network at Battersea Power Station is an extension of Ocean Outdoor’s existing UK Loop network, which already exists in locations such as Manchester, Birmingham, St James Quarter in Edinburgh, and Canary Wharf. The launch of this network coincides with Battersea Power Station being recognized as one of the top 20 ‘Best Cultural Spots’ by National Geographic in 2024, with over 11.2 million visitors in 2023 and a significant increase in visitors during the Christmas period.

Rokt, an e-commerce technology company specializing in machine learning and AI for personalized transactions, has appointed Marc Allsop as Head of EMEA and Mick O’Brien as Head of Australia and New Zealand. Both individuals have extensive experience in areas such as payments, loyalty, B2B, B2C marketing, and enterprise sales, and will focus on business development in their respective markets. He will be replacing OndÅ™ej Klamt, who has decided to take a sabbatical after more than eight years in the role. Pavlík’s experience and approach are expected to be instrumental in the technological development of Rohlik Group as it enters its next phase of growth. CEO and Founder Tomáš ÄŒupr expressed gratitude to Klamt for his contributions to the company’s success and highlighted the strong legacy he leaves behind for the team to build upon.

StrongPoint, a grocery retail technology firm, has brought on board Neil McCourt as a strategic advisor. McCourt has an extensive background, having worked for 22 years at Tesco and held key roles at Amazon, including Vice President for Fulfilment in Europe. He was instrumental in setting up Amazon’s grocery operations across multiple markets and was also involved in the UK government’s Future High Street Forum and Digital Advisory Board. His wealth of experience is expected to provide valuable insights and guidance to StrongPoint as it continues to expand and innovate within the grocery retail technology space.

Acrisure Arena in Greater Palm Springs has introduced frictionless checkout stores powered by AiFi, offering a seamless shopping experience for visitors. The Grab & Go Stands enable customers to select items they wish to purchase without waiting in line or scanning to pay, enhancing convenience and efficiency. This self-serve technology is suitable for indoor and outdoor events, and can dispense various types of drinks, including beer, cider, spirits, mixers, and cocktails.
