LinkedIn Tests Out TikTok-Style Short Videos

LinkedIn is testing a new short video feed feature similar to TikTok, catering to the rise in popularity of short-form video content. This new feature introduces a dedicated “Video” tab within the app where users can swipe through professional-focused, vertical videos. The focus on professional content sets LinkedIn apart from other entertainment platforms, as videos may cover topics like career advice, industry insights, job search tips, and company culture behind-the-scenes glimpses. LinkedIn is currently running a limited test of the video feed, with a dedicated space for short videos accessible through a new “Videos” tab. The tab provides users with a full-screen feed of short videos, offering a similar experience to TikTok or Instagram Reels. This beta test is only available to a select group of users on the iOS mobile app.
